Description

For bid is an original December 1923 "Announcement Extraordinaire" poster on yellow paper advertising the upcoming "First Grand Ball" and performance of the "Greenwich Village Frolics of 1924" to be held Friday evening, December 28, 1923 at "The Plaza Theater" in San Francisco.  Yellow paper poster advertising a "performance deluxe of America's largest Musical Comedy."  Several Art Deco era illustrations of a clown playing a guitar on the back of a topless, female centaur.  Unusual art!  Poster is printed on goldenrod paper.  Sheet is about 14 inches tall by about 8 1/2 inches wide.
Poster has been folded several times.  There are a couple of tiny holes along a lower fold line.  A brown stain to the page, also.  Very good overall condition.
