    ORIGINAL Lemuel Ayers Signed Stage Set Drawing. I have finally been able to definitively determine the production for which this piece was commissioned:  A very short run play from World War Two called "Plan M". Lemuel Ayers, famed award-winning Broadway set designer and costume designer. Piece measures 13" x 18". Notation on front, bottom reads "PLAN "M" BACKDROP TRANSLUCENCY". On reverse is stamp from UNITED SCENIC ARTISTS LOCAL 829. Below that is the signature of Lemuel Ayers, identifying this as his work. A second larger identical signature is also on the reverse. Ayers was an amazing artist and his original work is almost non-existent. Here is your opportunity to own an original piece from this master of stage design.
