RARE ANTIQUE HENRY TROEMNER "PHOTO NO 106" SCALE CAST IRON Wet Plate c1860-1880

Description

Up for auction is this RARE ANTIQUE HENRY TROEMNER "PHOTO NO 106" SCALE CAST IRON c1860-1880's.  It is in very good condition as it is made out of cast iron with no breaks or cracks and is missing the weights.  The cast iron base was cast with the word "PHOTO" and "No106" rising above the top under both sides of the scale.  This is a very heavy scale weighing just under 9 pounds.  Overall it measures approximately 12 inches long, 4.5 inches wide at the widest point and 6 inches tall.  Great patina to all parts.  Still works as it was meant to do 140+ years ago.

( I am attributing this to Henry Troemner because of the only other example of a Photo No 106 has a plate on the front that states "Manufactured by Henry Troemner").  This other example of a Photo No 106 scale was found online under the title of ... "
