Description
A great vintage Kodak Film advertising sign from a photo store in Cleveland Ohio that was in existence from around the late 1960's until around 1997. So, this prob. dates from the late 1970's I would say judging on the manufacturing style, or very early 1980's. It's made of a molded plastic that is rippled to look like glass and the colors are still very strong and bright with little fading! It's a great piece that you don't see often!
Measurements: approx. 13" high x 17" wide from bottom lip to other side.
You'll notice that there's some chipping on the very lowest plastic rim, which I took pictures of. Also, the original glass globe that surrounded the light bulb inside is gone. But that's why I'm pricing it very reasonably!
This great sign is dusty inside between the plastic outer sheeting & inner sheeting, but is not really that noticeable when it's illuminated. I took pictures of the sign both illuminated and with the light bulb off, & with/without flash.
The chain on it is approx. 16" and is a little rusty. The plug on the 18" electric cord was replaced along the way, but the the wiring looks good and there are no cracks in the wiring.
It comes with its original light bulb that I got with it, which is a 60-watt "Verd a Ray" 8000 hour rated light bulb! The same bulbs that was commonly used in traffic lights back in the day!
I'm always to answer questions so please feel free to ask them! Thank you for looking!
