AN ORIGINAL THEATRE "LOBBY CARD" FOR THE RSC'S BROADWAY LIMITED 10 WEEK RUN OF THEIR BRILLIANT 8 1/2 HOUR 2 PART PRODUCTION OF THE CHARLES DICKENS' NOVEL "THE LIFE AND ADVENTURES OF NICHOLAS NICKLEBY".  YOU HAD TO MORTGAGE YOUR FIRST BORN AND BE VERY WELL CONNECTED TO EVEN GET NEAR THE PLYMOUTH THEATRETO GET TICKETS.  IT WAS NOT ONLY THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF 1981 IT WAS THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF THE CENTURY.  AND IT WAS.  TICKETS WERE AN OUTRAGEOUS OF 0 A TICKET (UNHEARD OF!  LOL.)  AND THEY WERE SCALPED FOR ,000 A TICKET.  IT LIVED UP TO IT'S HYPE IN EVERY WAY.  THE SCRIPT, DIRECTING, SETS, COSTUMES, STAGING AND ESPECIALLY THE ACTING WERE INDEED THE 'THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME'.  INCLUDED IN THAT BRILLIANT ORIGINAL ENSEMBLE CAST WERE ROGER REES AS NICHOLAS AND DAVID THRELFALL AS SMIKE. I ONLY MENTION THEM BECAUSE BOTH HAVE GONE ON TO SUCCESSFUL CAREERS IN TELEVISION AND MOTION PICTURES.   EVERY MEMBER OF THAT CAST SHOULD BE MENTIONED.  AFTER THE FINAL CURTAIN, I WOULD HAVE BEEN PRIVILEGED TO SWEEP THE STAGE.  THAT WAS IT'S BRILLIANCE,  A DVD OF THE ORIGINAL LONDON PRODUCTION WAS FIMED AT THE ALDWYCH  THEATRE AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY PLAYED IN THE STATES BY PBS.  GET YOUR HANDS ON A COPY IF YOU CAN AND WATCH IT IF YOU LOVE THEATRE, DICKENS, GREAT ACTING, BRILLIANT STAGING, AND THEATRE IN IT'S HIGHEST AND SIMPLEST HIGHEST FORM.  THIS POSTER IS THE BLACK, RED WITH A GOLD FOIL BACKGROUND ORIGINAL.  IT IS IN EXCELLENT/MINT CONDITION WITH ONLY AN UNNOTICEABLE  PIN HEAD SIZE SCRATCH THROUGH THE BLACK OF NICHOLAS' COAT,  IT IS PRINTED ON HEAVY CARDBOARD AND  MEASURES 14 X 22.    THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION OR REPRINT!  THE POSTER FOR ONE OF THE GREATEST THEATRICAL EVENTS OF THE 20TH CENTURY!  RARE.

Hello.  By way of introduction and for your information, I am TMQPOSTERS.
Everything that you will see on my EBay Selling List is from my personal private collection.  I started collecting NEW and VINTAGE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS (especially GONE WITH THE WIND,  STAR WARS,
all SPIELBERG, DISNEY, ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS, BATMAN, LORD OF THE RINGS, HARRY POTTER, BROADWAY,
CLASSIC,
CULT, CAMP, TRASH, ETC!!!) since I was a 27 year old in 1976 when I moved and lived in NYC.
All the posters (even the originally folded ones) have been rolled in tubes and stored in a temperature controlled environment from the time I purchased each one.
Needless to say, it is a diverse and eclectic collection of over 650 POSTERS.   I also collected ANIMATION ART, specifically ORIGINAL DISNEY HAND PAINTED PRODUCTION BACKGROUND PAINTINGS that went under camera in the filming of Disney movies.  I will not knowingly misrepresent the pieces I put on EBay.
All the photographs you see of my posters and art are ones that I have taken, not downloaded from other online sites. I will gladly answer all questions, discuss shipping, etc.
